Pain processing therapy

Almost 485,400 of the Danish people are living with at least one of the chronic diseases are of working age. Clients that many of them will not be able to cure, but both those who are cured or not, can be our long-term potential clients if you have a good specialized education in chronic pain

According to danskepatienter.dk, 25% of Denmark’s population suffers from some form of chronic pain.
As you know, chronic pain limits our clients’ quality of life
We understand chronic pain as an unpleasant sensation that tells you that something in your body is wrong. It is a type of pain that is persistent and typically lasts longer than three to six months.

Course for massage therapists, physiotherapists, osteopaths and chiropractors, teaching the latest advances in neuroscience on the management of chronic pain from a practical point of view and pain contractures and myfascial tensions

Why are we interested in learning to treat the chronically ill?

They will advertise well for our company as they are very grateful customers and any positive change will make a big difference in their daily lives.

Chronic pain can be disabling and affect a person’s ability to perform activities of daily living. In the following, some of the most painful conditions are described.

frozen shoulder
Disc herniation
Chronic low back pain
Crohn’s disease

In this weekend course, you will not learn techniques as such, but you will learn how to manage the resources you already have and how to lay out a strategy for your goals with clients with chronic pain in the medium and long term, and how to use those techniques. , you already have on these terms.

This course provides an effective pain management program to achieve a significant recovery of quality of life, control of the most limiting pain attacks and regain activities of daily living and adequate function to live a full life.

Recent scientific studies, which have been carried out and published in journals of great importance and effect in the medical field, have shown that this type of therapeutic approach is extremely effective, opening up a very new therapeutic reference strategy, which will undoubtedly be introduced in the near future in many centers dealing with pain management.

Pain is defined according to international consensus as an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience that is due to an actual or potential tissue injury or is experienced as such an injury. Pain is a brain construct that is the result of an interpretation that our brain makes in the face of an injury or threat that could jeopardize our integrity, creating a reaction of avoidance, protection, and adaptation to the environment.

There is acute pain that occurs when the defense mechanisms are triggered in connection with an injury or a real danger; Chronic pain, on the other hand, is pain that has entered into a developmental cycle lasting several weeks, which is resistant to any treatment, without a clear structural explanation and without being able to identify the cause that causes them. Thus, in a constant vicious circle, the brain activates the pain production mechanisms despite the fact that the damage is no longer present or that the real danger no longer exists.

Pain processing therapy

In this training, a specific protocol has been developed for effective pain management and restoration of a full life, which enables the patient to control all the crucial factors in controlling pain crises.
It is a comprehensive multi-component action plan based on all the scientific knowledge and scientific evidence currently available in the field of pain management. The patient thus has the opportunity to know and control the mechanism that triggers their chronic pain syndrome, thus removing all the limitations and negative consequences for their quality of life and having the opportunity to control and modulate the degree to which the pain affects their daily lives. In this course, psychoeducation, misunderstandings about pain, the correct disease model, stress, unconscious and repressed emotions, inappropriate cognitions and thoughts as well as stress and physical attrition in the patient are also treated in a multimodal way.

We talk about the physiology of the nervous system, physiology of pain, central sensitization, re-education of pain

  • Chronic headache,
  • Muscle and joint pain,
  • Back pain,
  • Deep pain in the lower back,
  • Generalized polyarticular pain,
  • Fibromyalgia,
  • Chronic fatigue syndrome…

All of these pain syndromes that are resistant to any conventional invasive, pharmacological or surgical treatment create great suffering, despair and frustration. They have a dramatic impact on the victim’s life and on their immediate family / social environment.

Lack of understanding and lack of specific knowledge in a large part of the medical sector about the correct approach to chronic pain or central sensitization syndrome forces the patient to migrate from therapist to therapist without finding a satisfactory solution, increasing their degree of confusion and uncertainty.

This training has developed a specific protocol for effective pain management and restoration of a full life, enabling the patient to control all the crucial factors associated with controlling pain crises.

Scientific evidence shows that a multi-component treatment based on education, exercise and cognitive behavioral therapy is effective.

This course focuses on the conceptual change of the meaning of pain and the disease model. The goal is to change the poor brain circuit for pain into an appropriate adaptive, correct, and positive circuit.

BLOCK I: Cognitive conceptual pain management unit.

BLOCK II: Expanding important concepts in the explanation of chronic pain to improve the level of understanding.

BLOCK III: Progressive muscle relaxation and Schultz Bodyscan with the aim of breaking that cycle of pain contractures and myfascial tensions.

BLOCK IV: Techniques for focusing the attention that trains the patient in acquiring the basic knowledge of nindfulness and molding.

BLOCK V: Techniques for dealing with emotions, changes in the physiological processes that trigger an exacerbation of pain, learning to deal with the most disturbing and predisposing negative emotions, which trigger a gradual worsening of the pain syndrome. Acquire the parameters of assertive behavior.

BLOCK VI: Cognitive restructuring techniques. To use appropriate adaptive, constructive thinking to deal with chronic pain syndrome and combat negative automatic thoughts.

BLOCK VII: Practical integration of sessions on emotional management and cognitive restructuring. Changing the cycle of eternity.

BLOCK VIII: Block with integral visualization exercises and integral application of the therapeutic protocol.
